How To Find Us?

The Card Vault: Gaming Centre is located at the Lower Ground Floor of 37 Bath Street, G2 1HW, Glasgow - right in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre. Our entrance is via a staircase down from street level, so look out for our sign and the stairs leading to the lower ground floor. It’s an easy walk from major transit hubs - about 10 minutes from Glasgow Central Station and 15 minutes from the Merchant City area. See the detailed guide on how to reach us below. (Please note that because access is by stairs only, the venue is not wheelchair accessible.)

Glasgow Central Station
  • The city’s largest station, serving intercity routes from England and cross-country, as well as ScotRail services from the south-west and west coast (Ayrshire coast, Stranraer, etc.).
  • Central Station is about 0.3 miles from The Card Vault (6–10 minute walk).
Glasgow Queen Street Station
  • The hub for trains from Edinburgh, Stirling, the Highlands and North East Scotland.
  • Queen Street is even closer, about 0.2 miles from us (3–5 minute walk).

Both stations are fully integrated with local transport, taxi ranks and the Glasgow Subway network, making onward travel to 37 Bath Street (G2 1HW) quick and easy!

Subway Trains
  • If you are travelling by Glasgow's Subway network, the closest subway station to The Card Vault is Buchanan Street Station.
  • The Buchanan Street Subway Station is right outside Queen Street Train Station and is about 0.2 miles from us (3–5 minute walk).

The nearest bus stops to our Gaming Centre are on Renfield Street (G2 1NQ)
  • Renfield Street is less than 3 minutes’ walk away from us. Served by First Bus routes 2, 3, 18, 60/60A, 61 and others across the city including Stagecoach/Xplore express routes (X19, X23, X8, XP21, etc.).
Buchanan Bus Station (for Megabus, Citylink, National Express)

Square / Queen Street Station, then walk 5-10 mins to Bath Street.

By Plane
Glasgow International Airport (GLA) is the closest airport, about 8 miles west of the city. There are two easy ways to reach the city centre from GLA:
  • The most direct route is to use Airport Express Bus 500 that runs every 15 mins, 24 hrs a day (about 25 mins to city centre). Get off at George Square / Queen Street Station, then walk 5-10 mins to Bath Street.
  • Alternatively you can take an Uber or use the licensed Airport Taxis from the taxi rank located just outside the arrivals area 24/7.
Prestwick Airport (PIK):
  • You can catch a direct train from Prestwick International Airport railway station to Glasgow Central (around 50 mins, half-price with boarding pass).
Edinburgh Airport (EDI):
  • The fastest connection from Edinburgh airport is the Citylink 900 coach to Buchanan Bus Station (around 1 hour).
By Taxi
Glasgow’s taxi and rideshare services make it very easy to reach us:
  • Central Glasgow’s black taxis (hackney cabs) are plentiful - you can hail one on the street or find ranks at major spots like Central Station and George Square.
  • A taxi ride from Glasgow Central or Queen Street station is only around 3 minutes and costs around £5 or less (they’re so close that walking is often just as quick!).
Rideshare:
  • Uber and Bolt operate in Glasgow, in addition to private hire minicab firms. Prices are similar to taxis and can be a convenient option.
Walking
If you’re already in the city centre, it’s super easy to reach us on foot:

From Glasgow Central Station (10 minutes):

  • Exit the station (at the main Gordon Street entrance), head right and then take the first left onto Renfield Street.
  • Walk north along Renfield Street for about 0.3 miles (crossing several streets and passing several blocks of offices/shops).
  • When you reach Bath Street, turn right and continue walking - our store will be on the right. Look for a stairway going down to our lower-ground entrance.
  • If you instead exit via Renfield Street side of Central, you can simply turn left out of the station and continue to walk north along Renfield Street as previously explained.
  • If you exit on the Hope Street side of the station then you can head right out of the station, make the first right onto Gordon Street then the first left onto Renfield Street and continue north until you reach Bath Street as previously explained.

From Merchant City or George Square (15 minutes):

  • The Merchant City district is on the east side of the city centre, about 0.6 miles from Bath Street.
  • From George Square (in front of Queen Street Station), walk west on West George Street for 3 blocks (passing St George's Tron Church)
  • Turn right and head down West Nile Street for a couple blocks, and then left onto Bath Street. You’ll find us on the left-hand side.
  • From the heart of Merchant City (e.g. Merchant Square), it’s about 15 minutes on foot.
  • Walk west on Bell St towards Candleriggs, turn right onto Candleriggs then take a left onto Ingram Street and continue until you reach S Frederick Street.
  • Turn right and continue straight onto George Square, turn left to stay on George Square (in front of Queen Street Station). From here you can and follow the directions as previously explained.

Note: The Card Vault: Gaming Centre's entrance is via stairs (down to a basement level). Unfortunately, we are not wheelchair accessible due to this stair-only access. We apologize that we cannot accommodate wheelchairs or those unable to use stairs at this time.
