What is the Pokémon Trading Card Game?
The Pokémon Trading Card Game is a two-player strategy game in which players build 60-card decks using Pokémon, Trainer and Energy cards. Players evolve their Pokémon, use attacks and abilities, and aim to take all of their Prize cards before their opponent.
What is the best Pokémon TCG product for a beginner?
Pokémon TCG Battle Academy and ready-to-play Battle Decks are the easiest starting points. They include complete decks and learning materials, so new players can begin without first building a deck from random booster packs.
Can Pokémon cards from different sets be used together?
Cards from different Pokémon TCG expansions can often be combined in one deck, provided the deck follows the current format and construction rules. For organised play, check each card's regulation mark and the latest official rotation and legality information.
What Pokémon TCG products can I buy from The Card Vault?
For new Pokémon TCG set releases, the stock available from release day at our Glasgow Gaming Centre may include Booster Boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, Booster Bundles, standard and premium Collection Boxes, Ultra-Premium Collections, Collector Chests, tins, blisters and selected seasonal products such as Advent Calendars or Trick or Trade boosters. We also offer a smaller range of non-set-specific products online, such as World Championship Decks. All products are subject to availability.
In addition we do also stock our very own Premium Acrylic Display Cases specifically designed to fit Pokémon Booster Boxes and Elite Trainer Boxes. Available both online and in store.
Can I pre-order Pokémon TCG products from The Card Vault?
No. We do not accept pre-orders for Pokémon TCG products, either online or at our Glasgow Gaming Centre. Due to extremely limited allocations and automated purchasing activity, stock is instead made available in-store at our Gaming Centre from release day, subject to availability.
Does The Card Vault sell Pokémon TCG singles?
The Card Vault stocks singles from across a wide variety of TCGs at our Glasgow Gaming Centre, including Pokémon TCG singles when available. The selection changes regularly, and singles are not currently sold online.
