The world of Naruto is about to enter a new era of strategy, storytelling, and collecting with the launch of Naruto Mythos Trading Card Game. Designed for both competitive play and premium collecting, this new TCG invites players to relive the early legends of the Hidden Leaf Village - not as spectators, but as leaders.
The first chapter of this journey begins with Konoha Shidō, the debut expansion that lays the foundation for the entire Mythos system. The expected release date is 13th of March 2026.
Naruto Mythos TCG is a mission-based strategy card game where two players face off as the Kage of their respective hidden villages. Rather than simply battling head-to-head, players must carefully decide which ninja to deploy, where to deploy them, and when to reveal their true strength.
Each match is played over exactly four rounds, with players competing to earn Mission Points by winning increasingly valuable missions. At the end of the fourth round, the player with the most Mission Points is declared the winner.
The result is a game that rewards planning, bluffing, timing, and deep knowledge of your deck - rather than raw aggression alone.
At the heart of Naruto Mythos TCG are Mission Cards. Each round introduces new missions to the battlefield, ranked from D-Rank to A-Rank, with later missions worth more points.
Players assign their ninja to these missions, attempting to out-power their opponent at the right moment. Winning missions isn’t just about strength - mission effects, timing, and positioning all matter.
Every action in the game is fuelled by Chakra, the shared resource that determines what you can play and when. Players gain a base amount of Chakra each round, with additional Chakra generated by characters already in play.
Managing Chakra efficiently is crucial: overspend early and you may be left vulnerable later; hold back too long and your opponent may seize control of the battlefield.
One of the game’s defining mechanics is the Hidden Character system.
Characters can be played face-down for a minimal Chakra cost, concealing their identity and power. Later, these characters can be revealed - triggering Ambush effects and turning the tide of a mission unexpectedly.
This creates constant tension, bluffing, and mind games, perfectly capturing the feeling of ninja warfare.
Naruto Mythos TCG allows characters to evolve mid-game. By playing a higher-cost version of the same character on top of an existing one, players can upgrade their ninja while only paying the Chakra difference.
Upgrades preserve the character’s state and tokens, but unlock new abilities and higher power - mirroring character growth throughout the Naruto story.
Turn order and tie-breakers are controlled by the Edge token. The first player to pass during a round gains (or keeps) the Edge, which:
Wins all tied missions
Determines who goes first in the next round
Knowing when to pass is often as important as knowing when to play.
Konoha Shidō is the first official expansion for Naruto Mythos TCG, and it firmly roots the game in the Hidden Leaf Village during the early days of the Naruto saga.
This set introduces:
Team 7 and key early-era characters
Foundational clans and factions
Core mechanics that will define future expansions
Every card is designed not just as a gameplay tool, but as a fragment of story, blending narrative authenticity with strategic depth.
